The Association of Medical Facility Professionals (AMFP) NYC Chapter hosted its annual Golf
Classic & Clinic on Monday, October 3, 2022, at Sunningdale Country Club in Scarsdale, New York.
This was the inaugural golf outing for the chapter that formed in 2020.

John W. Rogers, FAIA, FACHA, has been named AMFP’s national treasurer, succeeding Lily Salkoff who has been holding the dual role of treasurer for the national board and Central Florida chapter. His two-year term begins Oct. 1.

The launch of AMFP Houston may have been postponed by the pandemic, but the delay only added more excitement to the kickoff event, July 14, 2021. As the RSVPs rolled in, planners Rod Armstrong, AMFP board member in charge of chapter development, and Bob Del’Ve, new AMFP Houston president, quickly changed venues to accommodate the crowd.

Healthcare facility managers know that compliance is an ongoing challenge. But Sukhjit Tom Singh, Director for Facilities Environment of Care Compliance at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, says that challenge is particularly trying when it comes to solving behavioral issues. "Top hospitals put in place electronic systems to proactively inspect building conditions. Effective Feb. 1, 2022, the membership fees for AMFP Strategic Partners will increase from $95 to $195. Student dues will decrease from $40 to $20. Other membership classifications remain at their current rate.
